Estimadas familias:
¡Nos reencontramos luego de un recreo invernal necesario para relajarse y recargar pilas en pos de transitar los meses más atareados del año exitosamente. Espero que haya sido un lindo período compartido en familia.
A continuación, les cuento que ha estado sucediendo en el tercer bimestre en el área de inglés.
- En Nivel Inicial, los alumnos de salas de 3, 4 y 5 estuvieron trabajando intensamente con Miss Nayla con sus respectivos materiales de siempre, pero también con la fábula de La Liebre y La Tortuga para brindarle al alumnado las herramientas necesarias para poder comprender u disfrutar de la espectacular obra de títeres Tortoise, Hare…Who cares?, presentada por el aclamado grupo teatral The Buenos Aires Players. Dicha obra se basa en la fábula citada incluyendo interacción con el público y deja un mensaje referido al respeto por las diferencias, a la cooperatividad y a saber perdonar. L@s niñ@s de Nivel Inicial la disfrutaron mucho y finalizamos una bella tarde de sol merendando al aire libre para culminar el festejo de la llegada de la primavera de inglés. En las clases subsiguientes, las salas de 3, 4 y 5 harán actividades referidas a la obra junto con Miss Nayla, entre las cuáles se trabajará la moraleja de esta célebre fábula de Esopo.
- En Nivel Primario recibimos también a The Buenos Aires Players con dos obras de teatro. L@s alumn@s de 1ro a 4to grado disfrutaron de Hansel & Gretel, una historia basada en el cuento recogido por los hermanos Grimm cuyas características fueron música alegre, un inglés impecable, muy buen humor y un mensaje sobre la colaboración, el trabajo en equipo y el perdón. Por otro lado, los grados superiores (5to a 7mo) asistieron a la función de Musketeers by Chance, la cual cuenta con el mismo elenco teatral y musical brillante. Esta obra es una adaptación de la conocida novela de Alejandro Dumas Los Tres Mosqueteros, que relata las aventuras del joven D´artagnan hasta convertirse en par de Athos, Porthos y Aramis. El espectáculo incluyó escenas divertidas, de suspenso, alegres y de reflexión concluyendo con la moraleja de perseguir nuestros sueños.
Todos los grados realizaron actividades a priori y a posteriori de las obras para prepararse y tener las herramientas necesarias para aprovechar los shows así como para utilizarlos como punto de partida para trabajo literario y de análisis.
- En Nivel Primario también recibimos la primavera al aire libre, compartiendo una merienda de golosinas mientras hicimos un collage con mandalas de motivos florales, con las cuáles decoramos los pasillos y aulas.
¡Llegó la hora de preparar los exámenes! En septiembre, el alumnado comenzó la preparación extra para rendir las evaluaciones de Trinity College London y Lenguas Vivas. Estamos a cargo de la misma durante dos meses la profesora Elisa Aguirre (Trinity Grades 2 – 3), la profesora Griselda Coira (Lenguas Vivas) y quien suscribe (Trinity Grade 4). Es muy importante el compromiso, trabajar y esforzarse para llegar a buen puerto. Siempre es un desafío positivo enfrentarse a un docente que no nos conoce y mostrarle lo que podemos hacer con el idioma. ¡Adelante chic@s! ¡Exitos para tod@s!
- En Nivel Secundario, fuimos con l@s alumn@s de 4to año al teatro a ver Shrek: The Musical, basada en la primer entrega de la saga. Fue una salida informal y relajada que tuvo de todo: l@s chic@s viajaron por su cuenta, desayunamos tod@s junt@s en una conocida cafetería del centro porteño y luego nos dirigimos al teatro. Vimos un musical impactante, con una puesta en escena digna del Maipo y un elenco de profesionales de la actuación, el canto y el baile que desbordaba de talento, sumado a un nivel de inglés impecable.
En este nivel también estamos preparándonos para los exámenes internacionales Trinity College London.
Seguimos con los preparativos para el viaje a Londres 2017. En el mes de octubre realizaremos el primero de 8 encuentros mensuales con l@s alumn@s que ya se sumaron a lo que será una experiencia maravillosamente enriquecedora. ¿Qué estas esperando? ¡¡Anotáte!!
