“THE HAPPY PRINCE”
(“El Príncipe Feliz” de Oscar Wilde)
Los alumnos de 5to grado leyeron la adaptación del cuento “The Happy Prince” de Oscar Wilde.
El texto se centra principalmente en el amor, la bondad, la solidaridad, la amistad y la fidelidad. El autor muestra estos valores a través de las figuras de un ave y un príncipe.
Si bien el texto data del siglo XVIII, estos valores aún están vigentes.
Los alumnos, luego de la lectura del texto, análisis de su vocabulario, estructuras gramaticales y pronunciación de nuevas palabras, debatieron respecto del contenido y trabajaron en lo que se llamó “El árbol dorado”. Dorado en representación de las láminas de oro que cubrían la estatua del príncipe por eso las hojas de los árboles se realizaron en cartulina amarilla y tenían la forma de las manos de los alumnos. Ellos debían colocar en cada hoja con forma de mano en idioma inglés acciones buenas de la vida cotidiana tanto en la escuela como en otros ámbitos: el club, el barrio, el hogar.
Objetivos generales del trabajo:
- Que el alumno aprenda a compartir espacios de lectura y análisis.
- Que el alumno aprenda a aguardar su turno de lectura y a escuchar a sus pares.
- Que el alumno aprenda a respetar las opiniones de sus pares.
- Que el alumno aprenda a trabajar en equipo y a respetar ideas diferentes de sus pares.
Objetivos específicos del trabajo:
- Que el alumno aprenda nuevo vocabulario en idioma inglés con distinto grado de dificultad.
- Que el alumno pueda manifestar sus ideas en idioma inglés.
- Que el alumno traiga a la vida cotidiana valores importantes para la sociedad y los plasme en acciones cotidianas en la escuela, uno de sus ámbitos de socialización inmediata.
- Que se reivindique el amor, el respeto, la solidaridad, la amistad y la fidelidad.
