Dear families,
Welcome again! Aprovecho este encuentro para contarles sobre nuestro segundo bimestre. Durante los meses transcurridos, hemos trabajado mucho, repasando conceptos ya conocidos y aprendiendo otros nuevos. La respuesta general del grado es muy positiva, y el esfuerzo, el compromiso y la dedicación de algunos está dando muy buenos frutos. Trabajar con este grupo es sumamente placentero porque siempre se muestran muy participativos, ordenados y respetuosos. Sin duda, esto hace que nuestras clases se puedan desarrollar en un ambiente ordenado y muy trabajador.
Uno de los proyectos mas ambiciosos de esta ultima etapa, fue traer al aula un momento para el desarrollo de actividades escritas individuales… nuestros famosos y desafiantes “writings”. Fueron momentos de mucha concentración, donde los chicos debían poner en uso toda la gramática y vocabulario aprendido, desarrollando una composición escrita, en tiempo acotado. En muchos casos, el ejercicio fue encarado con responsabilidad y el resultado fue fabuloso. Sin embargo, espero que el número de buenos trabajos aumente y que la producción escrita y oral se incremente.
En todo este tiempo de clases, reafirmé que el cambio de bibliografía que decidí antes de comenzar el ciclo lectivo fue realmente un gran acierto. El libro con el que trabajamos, Laser, nos ofrece muchísimas herramientas de estudio, practica y evaluación constante. Recientemente incorporé una clase en la sala de informática utilizando el E-Book que todos los alumnos tienen en su Student’s Book, y fue todo un éxito!!! A los chicos les encantó trabajar de esta manera. Disfrutaron muchísimo esa clase y ya están pidiendo repetirla.
Por una cuestión de organización y disponibilidad de la sala de informática, podremos hacer esta actividad una vez por mes. Sin duda será una clase muy esperada por todos los alumnos. Comparto con ustedes las fotos y el video que refleja esa clase.
Otro gran acierto fue el cuento “The adventures of Tom Sawyer”, el cual terminamos hace muy poco y ahora nos preparamos para ver la película y compararla con la historia que leímos. Sin duda, este cuento clásico de la literatura americana los atrapó por la similitud de edades con sus personajes y las ganas de vivir aventuras constantemente. Me alegra que los alumnos hayan disfrutado del cuento.
Luego de estas vacaciones de invierno, debemos afrontar la segunda mitad del año, la cual presentará nuevos desafíos que requieren de estudio y dedicación, así que no debemos bajar los brazos. Al regreso, empezaremos nuevamente a trabajar a full!!! La participación en clase y el compromiso con la materia y el estudio, serán evaluados constantemente. Tenemos por delante muchos objetivos que alcanzar y un montón de trabajo por hacer.
